Sos Thrift Shop

It’s a big thrift store, but it’s cluttered and the merchandising is really horrible. Items organized by type then are just thrown into boxes up and down the isles. Some stuff is just shoved onto shelving. Wide variety of different items, so that’s something. But be prepared to search and dig It looks like it could use a good dust & deep clean all over. The upstairs has books at a good price. They also have the clothing & footwear, purses etc. upstairs . I found the clothing to be dated and out of style. But style is subjective. That’s not to say I haven’t found the occasional score. The items in the showcase are really priced high - especially the native artwork. It was in the hundreds of dollars range - pricing items that high is crazy for a “Thrift” store. It would be better off in a high end resale shop. Anyway on the upside - The security guard who works here is always super nice & friendly. And proceeds go to a variety of charities like Meals on Wheels for one.

Truth in posted dropoff hours: THEIR POSTED HOURS ARE UNRELIABLE Maybe they will be open for donations, Maybe they wont Maybe they will close early Maybe they will close half a day early Maybe they will just decide no more dropoffs ...nobody seems to know Maybe you can go there based on posted dropoff hours TWO OR THREE TIMES before you realize its a waste of fuel, and give up and take your stuff somewhere else. Lovely place, HONESTLY a great place. Unfortunately lm not going to donate ANYTHING there anymore.

We appreciate the free donations we are profiting off so much and appreciate our customers so much that on CANADA DAY we blocked our three driveways with our donation trucks and sealed the fourth exit with a fence so you couldn't even leave the legion. After all we weren't profiting that weekend why give you free parking in appreciation?
